Halo Beriti Washed

In October, we have a Washed Ethiopian 74112 & 74110 from Halo Beriti Washing Station.

Halo Beriti Washing Station is located in Gedeb, Yirgacheffe at 1900 – 2300 m.a.s.l..

The washing station was established in 2014 and currently receives coffee from more than 750 smallholders.

74112 & 74110 is a locally selected subvariety of Ethiopian Heirloom, developed in the 70s at the Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC) for resistance to the coffee berry disease.

The prefix ‘74’ indicates that the selection and cataloguing occurred in 1974.

The subvariety 74110 was selected from an original “mother tree” in the Bishari village in the Oromia region.

The trees are short and compact, with small leaves and cherries.

With this coffee you can find flavours of  Jasmine, White Peach and White Tea.
