In our continuous quest to advance and enhance our expertise in specialty coffee production, La Riviera is born. A haven of experiences and sensations, it stands proudly as the producer of some of Colombia's finest specialty coffees. La Riviera represents a fusion of skills, meticulously selecting the finest coffee beans, ensuring the utmost respect and precision in every process, and dedicating ourselves to delivering to your table a singular cup of coffee. Our aim is to unveil flavors and aromas that gracefully convey the intricate layers, beauty, and cultural richness of the Colombian coffee region to the palate of every consumer.

MAME Specialty Coffee

The process begins with a 24-hour whole-cherry rest. The coffee is then pulped and transferred to a bioreactor, where it is inoculated with a selected microbial culture for 20 hours under controlled conditions. After fermentation, the beans are washed to stabilize the profile and finally moved to carefully monitored drying to preserve the clean, floral character that defines our Pink Bourbon.

MAME Specialty Coffee

We work with Café Uba because one family looks after every step, from the trees to the fermentation tank. Three generations have grown coffee here, and they farm four sites around Pereira, the oldest in production since 1982. They even built La Riviera as a dedicated processing facility, which gives them room to experiment properly. We visit almost every year to taste together, share ideas and plan what to try next, and some of our favourite coffees have come out of those conversations. The family also looks after the land itself. Eight natural springs are protected across their two main farms, and corridors of guadua bamboo are left standing for birds and wildlife. A producer this curious and this careful is exactly who we want to keep working with.
