Located in Volcán, Panama, at 1,600–1,800 m.a.s.l., Los Alpes is one of the highest farms owned by the Janson Family Coffee — and altitude here is everything. In the cool, mist-wrapped air of the Chiriquí highlands, the cherries ripen slowly, concentrating the delicate florals and sweetness that have made this origin legendary.

MAME Specialty Coffee

World-renowned, the Janson Family Coffee traces its roots to 1941, when Swedish immigrant Carl Axel Janson settled this corner of Panama. What began as a family homestead has grown, across three generations, into one of the most celebrated names in specialty coffee. Their Geisha lots are a fixture of the prestigious Best of Panama competition, and their coffees have found their way into the hands of the world's finest baristas — most notably powering a World Barista Championship – winning performance and appearing on the World Brewer's Cup stage.

MAME Specialty Coffee

For us, sourcing from Janson Family Coffee is more than a transaction. It's a connection built over time — a partnership with a family that has spent decades perfecting terroir-driven coffee, and that we return to season after season. We choose the Jansons, and they choose us, because great coffee is never a one-time find; it's a relationship you tend to, harvest by harvest. That shared history is what we're inviting you to taste in every cup.
